About Dr. Dill

Dr. Dill was raised in Santa Barbara and then in the small beach town of Cayucos, in San Luis Obispo County. She attended Harvard University where she graduated magna cum laude, with a bachelor’s degree in History and Science. After taking a year off to work at the San Luis Obispo County Health Department, Dr. Dill attended medical school at the University of California, San Diego, graduating at the top of her class in 2000, receiving honors in all clinical rotations.

Dr. Dill completed her internship at Scripps Mercy Hospital, in San Diego, and her dermatology residency at Brown Medical School in Providence, Rhode Island, where she served as Chief Resident. She then worked at Brown and Harvard-affiliated hospitals, including Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital, for three years before doing a pediatric dermatology fellowship in San Diego. She then continued to work in a variety of dermatology practice environments, including a year at Dr. Brokken’s practice here in Santa Barbara, as well as spending two years as the Program Director for the Dermatology Residency Program at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and more recently, as the Program Director for the Dermatology Residency Program at Roger Williams Medical Center in Rhode Island.

She recently moved back to her home in beautiful Santa Barbara and is excited to once again be practicing here. She is the only board-certified pediatric dermatologist in Santa Barbara County and enjoys seeing children of all ages, as well as their parents and other adults. Dr. Dill does both general medical and pediatric dermatology. Her special areas of interest are birthmarks, acne, and rosacea, and she also enjoys performing laser treatments for both children and adults.

Dr. Dill is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, the Association of Professors of Dermatology, and the American Contact Dermatitis Society. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles and two book chapters. She has also participated in several clinical research trials.

In 2012 Dr. Dill took a sabbatical from practicing medicine and studied life coaching. She is a certified life coach and is also a qualified instructor of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). She specializes in coaching physicians on burnout, stress reduction, and wellness, and also speaks on these subjects to physician audiences. She is also a published book author.

In her free time, Dr. Dill enjoys walks with Tucker, the world’s laziest dog, traveling, cross-country road trips, kayaking, stand-up paddling, hiking, and enjoying new foods and old wines.
